This delicious darling is a lot more dainty than I normally make, but I'm obsessed. The cab is Uranium custard glass, with inset green glass gems, forming a charming crescent moon and single star. Dated from 1900, this is by far the oldest hallmarked gem I've had the pleasure to work with. Delicately curled fingers of fine silver filligree cradle this precious antique, in a petite bezel setting. A sturdy base of sterling silver fully outlines and enhances, supporting the gilded cage, and prettily perches on a narrow band of antiqued geometric patterned sterling silver. The silver is skillfully hand polished to a near perfect finish, gleaming in a most enticing way. This magical marvel also glows like a nuclear reactor under blacklight and UV.
