Hello darlings, it's me, Creepy Katie. And boy, do I have a darkly delightful delicacy for you this week. I managed to aquire a small amount of a rather rare, and not well known gem, called Larvikite. Also known as Black laborodite, Norweigian moonstone, black moonstone, etc. It's only found in a few places on earth, but most notably, Larvik, Norway, where it was first discovered. It's a really dynamic gem, in the feldspar family, and it's just gorgeous, pictures truly don't do it justice. Larvikite, like Moonstone and Laborodite has a crystal growth pattern that causes flashes of gem brilliance when manipulated, making it a truly breathtaking crystal. I've taken great pains to showcase the natural beauty of this stone, a dramatic elongated teardrop shape, I've set it in a cage of gothic splendor. Delicate, fine silver filligree spiderwebs gracefully cradle the gem, with a slightly blackened outline to further enhance the look. It's hung on a handmade chain, in classic Memento Mori style. Made one link at time, of antique French jet, faceted beads, and antiqued sterling silver. A truly eye-catching confection of gothic delight. There is currently only one of this design, as the gem is rather hard to source. I have only 3 more pieces, but this is the only one of this shape and size. So get yours while you can. Tempus fugit, darlings.
